I agree about “Flames.” I enjoyed the non-smoking bit, but most of it was kinda blah to me. I even contemplated skipping a couple chapters, but decided that was cheating

What did you think of When You Are Engulfed in Flames? I’m a big Sedaris fan, but I was a little disappointed by the book. I felt like it lacked some of the whimsy of his previous books — something about it just felt forced told me they loved it, which was curious.
