Can 2018 be equally entertaining? Only time will tell.
As we enter 2018, here are some highly anticipated games that could make 2018 another banner year for the industry.

The Metro franchise returns after a hiatus. Bethesda project (Starfield)
Bethesda – makers of [amazon_textlink asin=’B01GZX167Q’ text=’Skyrim’ template=’ProductLink’ store=’thed34n09-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’7a6f35c4-00b1-11e8-9373-2f7f6296e96c’] and [amazon_textlink asin=’B074NGD393′ text=’Fallout’ template=’ProductLink’ store=’thed34n09-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’836d7450-00b1-11e8-a00b-150e5568c980′] has yet to announce any new games for 2018. Following their trend of the past few years, they are likely to announce a game at E3 that will launch this year. There is speculation it could be the next game in the Skyrim series, or a completely new game called Starfield. Not much is known about Starfield other than it is an open-world science fiction-based game.

The original western-themed adventure is considered one of the top games of the previous console generation. Can Red Dead 2 live up to the hype?
Anthem
Electronic Arts angered many fans in 2017 with its pay-to-pay loot boxes in games, forcing players to pay in-game for added features to complete the game. This could diminish excitement about their new game, Anthem. Still, since it was first shown last year at E3, excitement has been high.

The less likely, but still anticipated games

A remake of the classic Japanese role-playing game was announced at the 2015 E3 by Square Enix. Rumors about production delays and no release date information have many questioning if it will be available in 2018. If it is, there will be a lot of happy fans of the original.
Cyberpunk 2077
The first teaser trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 hit the net five years ago. With Witcher 3 development wrapped up, the folks at CD Projekt RED have time to work on their next ambitious project. Could we learn more in 2018, and possibly even see the game drop?
Borderlands 3
Borderlands 2 came out in 2012, and developer Gearbox has hinted that they are working on the much-anticipated sequel. Little is know about how far along they are in production, but it is a possibility it could be out in 2018. E3 will likely be informative about where these three games are at in production.
